Whether you are seeing me for preventive care, an injury or condition, preparing for surgery or post-surgery rehabilitation, you and I will become an active team in this process.
At your first appointment, I will assess your needs, address concerns, and answer any questions. Based on your symptoms and/or doctor’s diagnosis, together we will design an individualized treatment program tailored to your specific injury or condition. Although most of my patients are referred by a physician, a prescription is not required to use my services. This is especially helpful to patients who have sustained a new or recurring injury and require immediate treatment.
Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFR) — Application of a specialized tourniquet system to a proximal arm or leg, which is inflated to a personalized and specific pressure to reduce blood flow to an exercising extremity. The application is brief and intermittent, typically about six minutes per exercise but can last up to 30 minutes, based on the specific protocol. MORE INFO
Game Ready® — Sports injury? Orthopedic surgery? Game Ready® combines active compression and circumferential cooling in one convenient treatment system that delivers greater benefits than cold therapy alone. MORE INFO
Theragun G2Pro™ — Professional grade percussion therapy that provides deep percussive massage to reduce muscle and joint pain, improve mobility and enhance performance. Customizable treatment for muscles, joints and trigger points. MORE INFO

Graston Technique® (GT) — Used in treating conditions affecting soft tissue. MORE INFO
Myofascial Decompression (cupping) — An ancient technique for treating pain and inflammation.
Manual therapy — Soft tissue mobilization, deep tissue massage, joint and spinal mobilization.
Joint mobilization — The goal is to increase mobility of parts of the body having less than normal movement. Tight muscles, stiffness in ligaments or joints may be affected. Joint mobilization will loosen up the structure, often relieving pain associated with the restriction. I also teach patients range-of-motion exercises that will help maintain mobility.
Soft tissue mobilization — Restores normal joint function surrounding soft tissue, such as muscle, ligaments and fascia, which are sheets of fibrous tissue that encase and support muscles, separating them into groups or layers.
Therapeutic exercises — Achieves movement and function with a minimum of pain and stiffness. I use these treatment options and techniques best suited to the individual patient, while also recommending exercises which will be helpful at home.
Strength & conditioning — Strong muscles help prevent injuries, protect joints and maintain good posture, thereby limiting abnormal strain on parts of the body. I teach which exercises are helpful and which may be harmful, and I’ll monitor your exercise plan and progress, recommending changes as needed.
Balance and proprioception — Awareness of posture, balance or position due to the reception of stimuli, produced within the body, which stimulate proprioceptors within muscles, tendons, joints and the inner ear.
TMR® — A non-invasive medical device cleared by the FDA for the relief of chronic intractable pain and as a supplementary treatment in the management of post-surgical and post-traumatic acute pain. TMR® can only be prescribed by a doctor.
Therapeutic ultrasound — Uses sound waves to help repair affected tissues resulting from injuries such as strains and sprains, and bruising. It also helps reduce pain and muscle spasms, and it works to break up scar tissue.
Electrical stimulation — Used effectively with exercises to help strengthen muscles through contractions following an injury or preparing for surgery. Also may be used to re-train muscles how to function following a nerve or brain injury.
Laser light — Helps repair injured tissues, increase healing and decrease pain following strains and sprains, muscle spasms, tendinitis, osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and other injuries and conditions.
Cryotherapy — Treatment of an injured area of the body using cold temperature. Applying ice or cold packs is an age-old treatment to decrease pain and/or swelling, but it remains very effective.
Moist hot packs — Effective in decreasing pain and assisting muscles to relax. Heat also helps attract blood and nutrients to the affected area, therefore increasing healing.
Postural re-education/ergonomics — Addresses behavioral modifications postural exercise to correct musculoaskeletal problems at home and the work place.
Kinesio Taping / McConnell Taping Technique — Adds stability and support to joints and muscles without affecting range of motion or circulation. Taping is also used to treat pain and swelling.
Orthotics — Custom evaluation and casting.
